The certificate issued for this e-learning asbestos course is approved and audited by IATP, this certification is fully HSE compliant and externally accredited. This course is industry established and widely accepted as an alternative to the UKATA qualification. It is suitable for all trades, supervisors AND for refresher training.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advises that every employer must make sure anybody likely to encounter asbestos fibres while working, or an individual that supervises those employees, received an appropriate level of training so they can work safely, without risk, and comply with the law.
Self-employed workers, especially in the construction industry, should make sure they too know how to protect themselves and to guarantee not putting others in any danger from their activities.
Who is this course for?
Asbestos awareness training provides workers and their supervisors with the information they need to recognise asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and instructs them what to do if they come across any of these hazardous substances. This course, accepted widely as an alternative to a UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) qualification, is suitable for a long list of job roles and as a refresher to maintain knowledge.
It does not teach individuals how to work with asbestos.
Instead, the Asbestos Specialists' Non-Licensed Removal course is for those that could disturb ACMs, or need to work on them.
