The Duty to Manage Asbestos (Appointed Person) training course is for duty holders responsible for protecting those who work in, or use, non-domestic premises. It's vital to understand the health risks caused by exposure to hazardous asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and fibres. As well as workplaces such as hospitals and schools, this also includes common areas in shared domestic properties and social housing.
The Asbestos Specialists offer the Duty to Manage Asbestos (Appointed Person) training course through two routes: traditional face-to-face learning, or our industry leading online version.The course will assist building stakeholders comply with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and ACop L143 (second edition).
This course is suitable for delegates who already have an approved asbestos awareness qualification.

Duty To Manage Asbestos – Online Course
(Appointed Person)

This course follows all relevant guidance published by the HSE. It includes specific information contained with HSG 264 and ACoP L143. Certification is instant subject to an examination pass on completion of the course. This is a self-paced module, available for completion in the users' own time, and is accessible 24/7. The e-learning course is compatible with any PC or laptop computer, but not compatible with mobile devices such as smartphones, iPads of Android tablets.
In-line with HSE guidance, this certificate does not carry an expiry date.
Duty To Manage Asbestos – Face-to-Face
(Appointed Person)
£265.00 + vat per person
Available both in-house and at locations throughout the UK.
The in-house option can accomodate up to 15 learners. It follows all relevant guidance published by the HSE, and includes specific information contained with HSG 264 and ACoP L143. This is a 2-day training course that includes a tutor-led practical exercise on asbestos risk assessments and use of the priority assessment - HSG 227.
The course also has an externally marked 1-hour examination. You will receive certification on successfully passing the course. In line with HSE guidance, this certificate does not carry an expiry date.
